“Music is the universal language
of mankind.” –Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Countless studies have shown that studying music helps students
excel
in numerous scholastic endeavors. Students who sing or play an
instrument do better in math and science and even sports!
Recently, a study by Stanford University has proven Longfellow right
and has shown that in addition to these benefits in cognitive function,
music can actually help the human brain process the spoken and written
word. This is likely to help with learning disabilities like
dyslexia. Individuals who play an instrument throughout their
lives are also less likely to develop Alzheimer’s and dementia later
on, as well.
Carry-a-Tune Music is proud to offer you the unique experience of
